HOW IT WORKS
Our innovative continuous glucose meter (CGM) will monitor blood sugar levels continuously. Patient's will be able to monitor their accurate blood sugar values with their phone application, saving time and pain from multiple daily finger pokes.
Our technology includes a stable form of glucagon (sugar). Blood sugar values will be monitored continuously, and the right dose of glucagon will be give at the right time safely to prevent a hypoglycemic emergency.
The patient will have more control over their diabetes, so they can focus on what matters in life.
Parents of diabetic children will be able to sleep through the night, knowing their diabetic child will be safe from a hypoglycemic event.
The objective for our CGM device is to be a convenient product that will continuously monitor and manage blood sugar levels automatically, and safely. Importantly detrimental side effects from hypoglycemic emergencies will be prevented.
Glucosia, Inc. is an early stage startup founded by an Emergency Room Registered Nurse who treated diabetic emergencies on a regular basis and witnessed first hand the devastating side effects that patients experience.
Our company was formed to make a positive difference while integrating a unique understanding of our user needs. We have grown into a collaborative and interdisciplinary team that is excited to solve the engineering challenge related to our product development.
